Am i a pro wedding photographer !
Am I a pro wedding photographer !!
Some of my friends in my photographic club refer to me as a wedding photographer!
I consider it a privilege to be present on a couple’s wedding day. There they are getting married in front of everyone special to them – parents, family, special friends and then there ‘s is ME, Paul Lan, hired to take photographs to record every detail of their very intimate moment of their new lives.
I usually try to meet the new couple sometimes together with their parents for a few exchanges. From the first contact, I will make them familiar to me and become friends. I like to meet them because there I could know their expectation on what kind of photography they wish or make them aware of what type of photography could be done (Traditional, journalistic, creative or classic). We will talk and plan how the day will be from the beginning which will be at the time I arrive at their place till the end of the reception. I will be able to explain to them how to pass the rings and the moment of signing the register at the church as I consider that these are memorable moments to absolutely immortalize it at the best. Find out with them what they want to achieve, how many shots they want etc, above all of these we will be able to know each other and that familiarity will for sure make their photos more lively with expressions.
I like to get a little creative with my shots and capture the moment! Which is the unexpected! with funny expressions.

Mum
This photo of Mum was awarded 1st place in my creative photography club in 2002, a club for professional & amateur photographers on the yahoo group web site. The theme was portraits.

1st place in website D70 group
This photo was from Maryland farm in the state in 2006, i participated in the Harvest theme competition in my website club and was surprised to be awarded 1st place. It's two photos i mixed together.
